McIntyre Lunch Box is one of our sponsors for 2020. We thank Yasemin and her family for their continued support. If you need a caterer, don't look any further. They do a sensational job and if you want to sample what they have to offer, join the Lakers Legends and our President's Lunch on senior match days and get a taste of it. You won't be disappointed. https://www.mcintyrelunchbox.com/ ... See MoreSee Less

Hello Lakers,

After a meeting with club Presidents and the WRFL, the following is the latest information regarding "Return to Training" procedures.

The WRFL along with the Victorian government and Melton Council have approved the resumption of non - contact training, commencing May 25th, with a number of other requirements that need to be adhered to.

In summary, the return to train protocols for community football in Victoria will enable: Training to resume in groups of up to 10 people. The group of 10 does not include a coach or the minimum number of support staff who are reasonably required to manage the activity.

Two groups of 10 can utilise the same oval provided they do not operate closely together, and the oval is split into two zones and nobody from each group mixes with the other group as well as equipment.

The Caroline Springs Football Club will look at commencing a trial of football training for Seniors under the new protocols this week and progressively look at opening up training to the younger age groups over the coming weeks. More information regarding how these sessions will operate along with protocols will be provided to coaches and players in due course. The exec committee is currently in discussion over how the club best implements a schedule that accommodates everyone.

Once we are satisfied that all protocols are in order, and the WRFL release the return to play roadmap at the beginning of June, we will look at what that means and continue to provide updates accordingly.

We thankyou for your patience in these unprecedented times and circumstances. The safety of our players, coaches, volunteers and members is of most importance to us so we need to ensure we are doing this correctly. We look forward to seeing you all in the near future.

As always, if you need any clarification, please contact me via email at president@carolinespringsfc.com.au
