Life Members
2010 – Keith Lancaster
Keith relocated to Melbourne from Adelaide along with his family comprising of his wife, three sons, and daughter. They settled in Caroline Springs and that is where his association with the Lakers began. Keiths’ three boys Ben, Hamish, and Alex would all go on and play over 150 games each for the Lakers and Ben played in the club’s first-ever Senior game in 2011. Keith was an integral part of the Caroline Springs Football club in the club’s early years. He had taken on numerous committee positions including Vice president and President, the latter he held from 2005 until 2009. Keith also coached a number of teams over the years and was the coach of the Under 12 team that won the premiership in 2009. Keith was a true workhorse and worked tirelessly to enable the club to grow and prosper under his tenure. There is no doubt the Club is in the position it is today because of Keith’s dedication and devotion to the Caroline Spring Football Club. In 2010 Keith was the first person to be awarded life membership of the Lakers.
2013 – Dean Ellis
Dean’s contribution to the club is unquestioned. A Man that led by his actions, he would continually be found at the rooms prior to training or on a weekend ensuring everything was in working order. First to open on a Sunday morning cleaning toilets because they don’t clean themselves, or last to leave on a Saturday night after a function to ensure the rooms were presentable the day after. There’s not much that Deano didn’t do, with a minimum of fuss, and no one would be none the wiser.
2018 – Terry Azzopardi
In his 11th year on the Executive, Tez is our current President and was long-standing Vice President to Dean Ellis. Over the years, however, he has also undertaken the roles of junior and senior coach, assistant coach, team manager, and Auskick Co-ordinator. Terry’s work around the club and behind the scenes is unrelenting and his work with our sponsors and major business partners has seen the club grow to its current position. Terry is the lifeblood of our club and was a well-deserved winner of the inaugural Ellis/White award for Best Club Person in 2012.
